  • Rhaphidophora Decursiva is an evergreen, robust, giant climber aroid with long aerial roots. Given the right growing conditions and space the leaves of Rhaphidophora decursiva can grow up to forty inches long and twenty inches wide. R. decursiva’s lobed leaves give it the appearance of a huge creeping fern and create a wonderful tropical accent in a room.

  • Rhaphidophora Decursiva is a low maintenance plant, similar to Monstera deliciosa. R. Decursiva thrives in humid environment and in soil with high organic matter.

  • Rhaphidophora Decursiva is a typical aroid, it needs mildly acidic, moist but light and well drained, rich organic potting mix. Mucky peat rich soil retaining water will be damaging to the roots. As always I make my potting mix myself.

  • Water your Rhaphidophora Decursiva when the top inch of soil dries out. It grows in relatively small pot, and has large thick roots, so I ensure the soil always retains some moisture.

  • Every once in a while I give your Rhaphidophora Decursiva a good leaf cleaning. The size of Rhaphidophora Decursiva leaves are large and tend to collect dust on the surface. Showering the plant or wiping the leaves increases photosynthesis and prolongs healthy leaf appearance.
